Nope. Nix. Didn't happen.

No lightning strikes have been registered by SMHI. Yet, I do suspect that there might be weak ones inside the clouds, given that some of the larger ones show now well developed anvils. Unfortunately i have no radio at home, where I could check any discharges in the medium wave spectrum.

Oh well. Stockholm ain't no thunderstorm land. Never has been (with a few exceptions)

What about Southern Italy ?

The day Sal and I move to Sicily - I will definitely see, hear and experience more thunderstorms. Once the seasons rolls in - it can at times be heavy. I think Napoli and Rome are Italian cities with LOTS of thunderstorms. More than over Sicily. (That's my guess).

Every time i have been in Napoli - thunderstorms emerged.

Napoli !

It is as if the bay of Naples surrounding the city has a special pull for thunderstorm development. And boy, those can be... look as if you experience the demise of Pompeii - in an almost fearsome grandiosity, with large scale lightning illuminating Vesuvio volcano, and its surrounding towns along the bay. Almost almost constantly streaked with numerous lightning showing the many cauliflower like features in the clouds !

Like tropical thunderstorms. Or Volcanic eruptions.

What a sight !

Sicily on the other hand, rarily has thunderstorms during peak summer. Napoli and Rome on the other hand, can get them any time of the year.
