It is a beautiful, pretty sunny day today in Stockholm, with temperatures breaking the 20°C. threshold. Other places in Sweden like Kalix in the extreme north, report 22.8°C - while Delsbo in Southern Norrland measures the preliminary highest temperature in the country, with 23.5°C.
Those temperatures are in no way exceptional for the third week in May. We had temperatures above 30°C in May, so this ain't special from that perspective. Nevertheless; this is a wonderful summery day.
I consider days above 20°C to belong to summer. While the definition of a "summer day" would be a MAX temperature at or above 25°C. While a hot day is defined as 30°C and higher. During some years in Stockholm, you don't even reach 30°C. (It isn't that uncommon, actually).

Shower line, possible Thunderstorms ?
There is a thin line of showers visible on the radar - possibly developing thunderstorms / lightning - albeit none have been registered yet. I can see those bulgy clouds from my balcony when i look towards the north.
Yet, i do spot anvils developing... So, there should be a few lightning strikes.
This far, it is the closest to a thunderstorm i have come this season 2026. Yeah, it is a bit late... No T-storms in April. None in May. At least not over my area. This shower line north of Stockholm is moving from NW to SE... Perhaps i get to see/hear a lightning strike or two ?
Or not, in usual order.
