Some weather centers speak for a high pressure area coming to Middle Europe and North Scandinavia - bringing summer warm weather. Other predict that it will be (overall) on the unsteady side, with just a single day close to 24°C, and then the rest remains below 20°C, or barely reaching 15°C at times.
I guess; time will tell.
Warm air over Western Russia
up to 32°C in the capital of Russia - isn't really reaching into our region. Instead that warm air pushes a low pressure area at its western borders - whose rain area this morning reached Stockholm - covering the Baltic Sea.

Overcast day
It remained then mostly rainy and overcast. While I am writing this in the evening - the sky is about to clear up: clouds are thinning out as the low pressure is pulling away towards north-northwest, and the sun rays start to peek though the cloud cover with ever so slightly warm colors.
Closeups in the morning
It was pretty fun to go out this morning after work, shooting a lot of flowers and leafs combined with rain droplets (or just a single droplet). Here I used mainly the Olympus 60/2.8 Macro lens [120 mm telephoto] as a "close up lens" in order to create more background blur. |
