Now doing close-ups / macro-like images with the Fujifilm Fujinon GF 110mm ƒ 2 together with a minimal extension ring (11mm) - isn't exactly super high quality. But it gets close - deslite the recommendation not to use any exteension rings with lenses that exhibit floating lens elements (which most Fujifilm GFX lenses have).

I used it anyway (in a sort of close-up, not macro) - stopped it down to ƒ9 - and get wonderful quality - which in the center is top notch. As you can see, the borders are not important here, as there is nothing to see.

So, yeah, for simplier things - it works. Especially when you use focus bracketing, and then stack them in Zerene Stacker, in order to get really in depth sharp images, down to the finest details.

So yeah. It is possible for less critical things. Since i do use focus stacking, the overall quality own to the ifnest details are very high. Better than using a single shot image, where the border degrades if you use a extension ring with lenses that have floating elements.

NEvertheless. Even a Olympus OM-1 would have done fantastic work (with focus bracketing / focus stacking). So, the large sensor of the Fujifilm GFX isn't crucial in these types of images. Yet, it is fun, to use the Fujifilm GFX camera :-) just because I could.
