just have entered Swedish territory (while the core of the low itself resides over the North Atlantic). It pulls mild air to Europe, and the following lows will do the same. This weather pattern will stay for let's say one week.

In a week much colder

After that, the weather then shifts to a much colder level, with frost, and only a few degrees above freezing during daytime. Winter is closing on. Remarkable however is, that we basically had no frost here in the (inner) southern suburbs of Stockholm so far.

Usually you get frosty mornings in October, where the still green grass gets a gray-ish white coating, especially in the shadows before the sun swoops it all away.

None of that has happened this October 2025.

Are mild October unusual ? Not really.

There will always, and have always been some October months who been on the dominating mild side (in Stockholm).

Happened in the past, happened this year, and it will happen again.

Sal back from a cold

His cold has vanished, and tomorrow he will go back to work. He wanted to go much earlier, which I didn't fully approve given how stuffed he sounded. When you get sick - you body needs rest. And when you symptoms have vanished, you still stay 2-3 days. THEN you go to work.

In order to avoid to fall back again if the illness hasn't cured out. Many people do the mistake to go back to work too early. Luckily Sal's boss was far wiser, and saw that during a meeting, Sal was really not on top yet. So, she said he shall stay at home - in order to be fit next week (now), to go to Gothenburg later.

They opened another location, teaching how to cook Italian Food. Sal will go there, to hold several session in that new location at the west coast.
